Unknown Sampling & Identification

Cylinders containing unknown material pose the greatest risk for handling, sampling and processing.  Their contents can be reactive, explosive, corrosive, toxic or a combination of multiple hazards.

Clean Harbors utilizes custom designed sampling manifolds to extract a small volume of material for analysis via mass spectrometer.  Once sampled and identified, the target gas can be shipped off-site for disposal or directed to a number of different reactor vessels containing a variety of scrubbing media.
