Providing Comprehensive Environmental Services for North America
Obsolete or nonfunctioning electronic equipment can be recycled and disposed of to conserve natural resources and protect the environment. Clean Harbors de-manufactures equipment and identifies and removes hazardous components for proper disposal. Materials for recycling are then segregated and managed for recycle value, all in accordance with applicable regulations.
Customers can easily and confidentially dispose of electronic and process equipment without endangering municipal landfills while gaining the opportunity for the recycling of component materials.
Customers gain liability protection through a regulatory–approved system. Experienced technicians thoroughly review equipment and remove all hazardous components. Clean Harbors will take title to any waste and ensure proper disposal.
Equipment and the technology can be handled as “confidential.” Technicians performing the de-manufacturing process ensure the equipment is destroyed and that no technical information can be recovered from any of the data storage components.
Technicians sort the recyclable materials according to type and grade. Suitable components are then sent for recycling. Destruction and landfill are the last option used for disposal.
Meeting federal and state mandated Universal Waste regulations is a priority for Clean Harbors. At the same time, Clean Harbors provides maximum flexibility in the types of materials and components being recycled.
