Container Tracking System

The Container Management Program pulls together the physical movement of containers with a systematic tracking system that can capture all container movements. From the initial deployment of a container to a customer location, container movements within a customer location and the eventual return of the empty container after it has been processed at a disposal facility can all be tracked with our comprehensive systems.

The Container Management System is a web-based system allowing access to up to date detailed information throughout the company network. Information can be updated in the system manually or through the use of hand held scanning devices currently in use that easily scan Clean Harbors bar code labels on our containers.

Every Clean Harbors container is bar coded with a unique numbering system. This provides the basis for knowing where every container is at all times. The system, developed to support the tracking of containers, also allows us to view key attributes of every container such as:

• Current location (specific designated container storage areas within a large facility)
• Current status (empty, full, out-of-service)
• Dedicated service type

The web based application integrates the information about a container with other key Clean Harbors systems such as order management, logistics, and waste management, invoicing and reporting.

Container Quality Control Program

We understand that the equipment used in the waste industry has complex and demanding standards.  To meet these standards, Clean Harbors’ Container Quality Control Program is designed to provide the highest quality containers, uniform standardization of our resources, and a comprehensive container maintenance program.

Container Inspection Program

• Driver training module for container inspections
• Container cleaning and inspections
• Tagging programs at all of our key locations which clearly identifies the condition of each container and identifies repair needs
• Handheld and a web based inspection system that compiles the quality assurance details resulting from every inspection

Container Maintenance Program

• Full service container maintenance and refurbishment shop based out of Houston, Texas that supports the Gulf Coast
• Maintenance capabilities in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, West Coast, the Plain States, Ontario and Quebec
